Pope ES, Rocket Dots establish Adopt-a-School partnership

April 20, 2026—Representatives from Rocket Dots visited the staff at Pope Elementary School on March 27 to officially announce their Adopt-a-School partnership with the campus.  

CFISD’s Adopt-a-School program pairs schools with community organizations and business partners to utilize community resources to strengthen and enrich the quality of education for students.

Gary Lee, owner of Rocket Dots, shared that adopting Pope has special meaning to his family.

“We’re excited to adopt Pope Elementary School to fuel the fun and support the starts at this school,” Lee said. “This is especially important to us because CFISD helped shape all of my four daughters, and now my grandsons are getting that same experience right here at Pope. It’s a full-circle moment for our family, which is why Rocket Dots is so proud to be here – not just to bring Dippin’ Dots, but to support the school, celebrate the teachers and students and make everyone’s days a little brighter and a little sweeter.”

Katie Herrera, Pope principal, expressed her excitement toward Rocket Dots for committing to support the campus.

“Pope Elementary School is extremely grateful for Rocket Dots’ adoption of our campus,” Herrera said. “This partnership reflects a shared commitment to investing in the success of our students and supporting the work of our educators.”
